Nov. 17, 2010 - PRLog -- Before you rush out and get that tattoo you found on google search there are a few things you need to think about first. Tattoos have become increasingly popular over past years, maybe it's because more and more famous models, actors and sports stars are getting them. Also the amount of poor decisions when getting tattooed has risen, do a google image search for bad tattoo and you'll see what I mean.

How to find your perfect tattoo.

You can find thousands of different tattoo designs online and your local tattoo studio, some will be high quality artistic designs. The problem with this is the fact that, you have no idea how many other people have viewed these tattoos and had them inked on their body. Do you really want to bump into someone else on the beach or in the public swimming pool with the same or similar tattoo design as you? I think not, so use the internet or your local tattoo studio to find a design you like, change and customise it, use it as an inspiration for you own unique tattoo design.

Here a some tribal tattoos for you to view.

Make sure your certain.

OK, so you have found a tattoo that you think is perfect for you, but don't run down to the tattoo studio just yet. It might look great now, but try and imagine how it's going to look in 10-20 years time, that tribal dragon tattoo might look cool now, but hows it going to look when it's faded and spread?

Before you have it inked permanently on your skin, put a copy of it everywhere, on your fridge, above your bed, so it's the first thing you see in the morning. Do this for a week or two and see if you get sick of the sight of it. Ask you family and friends their opinion, it is far more easy to tell you the truth when its not on your skin already!

Find the right tattoo artist.

Tattoo artists generally like to do specific types of tattoo designs, some like to do tribal tattoos and others prefer dragons or Chinese designs. Ask your tattooist what they specialise in and what they enjoy doing. If the artist enjoys doing the tattoo designs you want, chances are they will do a far better job. Ask them their experience level, you may get a better deal from a trainee tattoo artist, but your tattoo may not turn out how you expect. Ask to see some of their other work, photos, sketches so you can get a better idea of how good they are. A good tattoo artist will answer all of your questions and help ease your anxieties, if they seem a little of with your questions or change the subject maybe they are not the tattoo artist for you.

Good luck in finding your perfect tattoo and remember NOT to rush in to anything, a tattoo should be something you are proud to show off, not something you try and hide any chance you get.
