AVMG Teams Up With MGMA For Video Promotions

Nov. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- AVMG continually strives to be on the cutting-edge of the latest and greatest technology, but we don't stop there. This year prior to the 2010 Medical Group Management Association annual meeting held in New Orleans, AVMG thinking outside the box, took marketing the event to a whole new level. In an effort to increase attendance and create a variety of activity choices for attendees, AVMG produced four promotional videos that aired on the MGMA website as well as on YouTube, prior to the meeting.

"Working together with MGMA to find a way to best reach their membership was a challenge. With the economy and the rebirth of New Orleans, we set out to show what a MUST SEE event the AC10 in New Orleans would be," Tom Miller, AVMG Senior Account Services Manager stated. "The Marketing Department at MGMA was top-notch in providing all aspects of AC10 for us to highlight. Working with Ken Hertz, host of the videos, was a sheer joy. The great production team and editors hit the mark."

There were four different episodes produced for this marketing endeavor. Each episode consisted of MGMA host and Principal Consultant with MGMA Health Care Consulting Group, Kenneth T. Hertz, describing the new, interesting events at the conference and also featured his travels around the city interviewing chefs, musicians, places of entertainment, and New Orleans visitors.

Kenneth Hertz stated, “The AVMG production team did great preparation work - laying out script outlines, shooting sites, and schedules. Consummate professionals. They made the process so easy and comfortable - and great fun on top of that.  I would work on another project with them in a New York minute.”  

With over 1,200 views on YouTube from just the first episode, it is obvious people enjoyed the information they were given about New Orleans and the meeting they were about to attend.

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Jason and the team. Regarding the timeline, the first episode was introduced three months prior to the meeting, and then one month later, the second episode was released. The third episode debut was approximately one month out from the show and the final episode premiered one week preceding the meeting. This new-found exposure proved to be a positive venture for all who participated.

"From all indications, attendance was larger than expected and conference feedback has been positive. Together we feel we hit the mark in making this project successful," Miller said.
