OTTER text & drive app secures its trademark from the US Patent & Trademark Office

Nov. 16, 2010 - PRLog -- OTTER LLC of Seattle, Washington announced today that it has successfully secured trademark status for the OTTER logo.

“Our distinctive OTTER “O” is quickly being associated with highway safety and productivity at school or the office.  Our company has worked hard to protect our original concept started in October of 2009.   This is a solid first step to strengthening the foundation of what we started.  The next step is the long road to secure our patent for the One Touch Text Response System which includes innovative GPS interfaces and Parental Control options,” said OTTER LLC Owner and CEO, Erik Wood.”

The US Patent and Trademark Office issued the certificate of trademark to OTTER LLC on November 16, 2010.  All patent documents filed by OTTER LLC have also been accepted by the same government office and are currently under review.

HOW OTTER WORKS:
OTTER is the first app of its kind that integrates Auto Reply and GPS functionality to produce a tool that allows users to manage their texts while they are at home, in the office or, most importantly, on the highway. OTTER includes a GPS Parental Control feature for the highest risk drivers - teens.  Parents can enter a session specific pass code on teen’s phones to make sure that GPS Mode is on when the user is driving.  OTTER offers a tool to the texting culture instead of an invasive texting "lock down" system.
