Nov. 8, 2010 - PRLog -- Allstate agency owner Francisco Mercado was recently named an Agent Hero by Allstate Insurance Company’s New York Region, and awarded a $500 grant for a local youth program.

Mercado donated the grant to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) of New York, to be used to support the ADA’s NYC Step Out to Fight Diabetes Walk.

“As an Allstate agent, I believe it is my responsibility to demonstrate the Good Hands Promise in the community every single day,” said Mercado, whose office is located at 188-01 Northern Boulevard in Flushing. “It is an honor to be able to donate this grant to the American Diabetes Association and hopefully touch the lives of the kids who are involved.”
