ILC Dover Adds OV/AG/HE Cartridges To Their Sentinel XL ™ PAPR System

Nov. 1, 2010 - PRLog -- Frederica, DE - ILC Dover, the company that manufactures spacesuits for NASA, announced today they received NIOSH approval on an OV/AG/HE Cartridge (organic vapor, acid gas, high efficiency particulate) for their Sentinel XL™ PAPR.  The filter expands the range of approved filtration options and is NIOSH certified for organic vapor and acid gases including Carbon Disulfide, Chlorine, Hydrogen Chloride, Hydrogen Fluoride, and Sulfur Dioxide.  

The new cartridges are approved for use with the Sentinel Clear ™ hood as well as ILC Dover’s standard full and half hoods.  This product was designed to support the Company’s pharmaceutical, healthcare, and laboratory customers.

These latest additions to the Sentinel system build on proven ILC Dover technology in creating military and civilian gas masks, such as the M40 for the military and the SCape® CBRN30 NIOSH approved Air-Purifying Escape Mask with automatic blower actuation.  The latter has been chosen as the Escape Mask of choice by a number of key U.S. Government agencies.
