•  Update continuously! You do not need to blog every day. It is better to have a goal that is about continuity, such as a blog post a week. Smooth frequency of blog posts are better than high frequencies. Also, do not to just be writing. Write when you have something to say or are inspired.
•  Write to the reader, not for yourself! This is probably the most difficult. Although the blog is for your sake, you want readers must familiarize themselves with how readers think and what they want. If you are unsure, ask such other bloggers or forums that interest people in your niche. Also, ask your readers what they want. Let them choose and influence.
