Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida Seeks Volunteers in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties

Help girls in grades K-12 discover what they can do, learn to connect with others, and take action to improve the world around them

Oct. 28, 2010 - PRLog -- MIAMI – The Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida is seeking volunteers in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties to facilitate the Girl Scout Leadership Experience that helps girls in grades K-12, discover what they can do, learn to connect with others, and take action to improve the world around them.

Girl Scouting could not happen without the commitment of adults – just like you – who want to help girls through different volunteer opportunities available at our Council.  We know your commitment and actions will make a difference in a girl’s life.

Volunteer opportunities are available to adults 18 and over, pending background checks.  The Council offers many ways in which you have the freedom of tailoring your level of involvement to fit your schedule and lifestyle.

•   Direct service to girls as a leader in a troop or group, short-term mentoring, day camp, outdoor education and sports, ecology and the environment, technology, crafts, music, arts, field trips, community service projects and many other areas.  

•   Behind the scenes support in the areas of administrative support, fundraising, web design, data entry, publicity, brand promotion and event planning.
