Oct. 19, 2010 - PRLog -- (CHARLOTTE, NC) – For the third year, the Marc Hoffman Trio will provide entertainment for Historic Charlotte, Inc.’s Annual Preservation Awards event, to be held this year on Thursday, October 21, from 6:30-10:30 p.m., in the new Mint Museum Uptown.

Led by composer/pianist/vocalist Marc Hoffman, the trio will include Terry Peoples on bass and Bill Scott on drums.

The event, now in its tenth year, is entitled “Blast for the Past.” Hoffman will perform tunes from “Curioso,” his new eclectic, all-original jazz CD released by Virillion Music, as well as other standards.

“Even though we’ve played for the Preservation Awards event before, this will be our first gig in the new Mint,” Hoffman said. “We’re really looking forward to it.”

Hoffman, a resident of nearby Salisbury, frequently performs solo gigs in Uptown Charlotte for the concert series at Founder’s Hall and the Hearst Plaza.
