Central Coast's Call America Celebrates Name Change

Oct. 18, 2010 - PRLog -- Call America, Inc., a favored provider of business
telecommunications in California has proudly updated its name to Utility Telephone as of
October 1, 2010. Utility Telephone acquired Call America in 2005, keeping the San Luis
Obispo-based company’s name unchanged for over 5 years. They have 22 employees in
San Luis Obispo.

President and CEO Jason Mills explains, “While we recognize that Call America was a
well-known name, the Utility Telephone brand will easily become synonymous with the
same great service and level of commitment to our customers in the San Luis Obispo
region as it has in the rest of California and Nevada. Call America was a 20+ year-old
brand, but the time has come to consolidate.”

This branding change drives a reduction in expense and allows Utility Telephone to advance toward its “green” goal by eliminating waste and duplication in printed materials
that maintaining two separate names requires.

In other areas, 2010 was a breakthrough year: Utility Telephone launched Ethernet overcopper services, and web hosting and customer-premise equipment divisions.
