By: Skye Saker Carny Ville encourages party-goers to dress up in its unusual Victoriana style and join the circus, where dreams and nightmares come to life. Ghostlike performers fly off buildings at death-defying heights above gasping crowds as flames and music pours from every window and balcony of the expansive site. Founding member of The Invisible Circus Doug Francis explains; Carny Ville is the biggest and most outrageous showcase of circus that happens in Bristol. We engage some of the countrys most talented performers to create bespoke pieces and normally our audience get so dressed up its hard to tell whos in the cast and whos a spectator. Each year we have to go all out to top the previous show, so expect some incredible performances and deranged entertainers everywhere you look. This imaginative event is entering its fourth incarnation and will take place at The Island, a former home to Bristols law courts, police and fire headquarters. The future of the venue is uncertain so this might be the last year the Invisible Circus performs here. Spread out over two long weekends, audiences are limited to 1000 per night so admissions will definitely sell out. Grab your tickets fast!! # # # The Invisible Circus produce unique circus theatre experiences in a wide variety of unusual locations including an ex cathedral, a car garage, shops, warehouses and most recently a police, fire and law courts complex as well as more traditional settings such as circus big tops and established theatres End
