Minority Business Month Supplier Diversity Awards for Contribution of Enhancing Michigan’s Economy

Oct. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- The Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC)will host over 700 minority business owners and the nation’s top corporate executives will be present to celebrate the stars that made $12 billion in contract opportunities possible for the members of the Michigan Minority Supplier Development Council (MMSDC).  This Awards Show and Strolling Dinner will take place at the Max Fisher Music Center in Detroit, Michigan.



This special night will highlight companies like SET Enterprise. In March 2010, SET established SET Duct Manufacturing and SET Construction, both located in a former Renaissance zone in the city of Detroit.  Together, these companies will create up to 50 new jobs within the City of Detroit.  The President of SET Enterprises, Sid Taylor, a Vietnam Veteran, is a finalist in two categories; including the Diamond Award for his leadership in helping other minority business grow and create more jobs here in Michigan.



This sold out event is a celebration of the extraordinary achievements of the stars of supplier diversity. Special Guest include:  City of Detroit Mayor, Dave Bing, and Tony Brown, MMSDC Chairman of the Board  and Group Vice President, Global Purchasing, Ford Motor Company.  

The mistress of ceremonies is Rhonda Walker, morning anchor on local NBC Affiliate (WDIV Detroit).
