The indie band from Long Beach, CA will hit the stage once again for a hot 1-hour set of pure soul.

Friday, October 15, the band will hit the Viento y Agua Coffeehouse stage once again for a one-hour performance of lush down-tempo, electronic grooves, and soulful house music beginning at 8:30 p.m. The independent band from Long Beach will offer an electrifying set of their current alluring beats and soulful vocals, plus a special preview of new music to come. Viento y Agua Coffeehouse is located at 4007 East 4th Street Long Beach, CA 90814. This event is free and open to the public. Following one month after their much-talked- “Viento is a fun stage to play and when musicians are having fun, unexpected things can happen,” said Ray Comer, aka Bebo 6, drummer and producer. “We’ll definitely surprise folks with some new songs added to the set and some special guest performances… The Armchair Generals continue to achieve their mission of winning attention. Their uptempo house tune, “Way Out”, will be included in the October 2010 “What Is Good Music” compilation CD produced by Fusicology, the self-proclaimed “Hub for Progressive Events, Music & Culture”. Along with their recent online interview with Nu-Soul Magazine, and airplay of “Starship Bixby 6060”on KCRW, the support from this prominent marketing entity that promotes independent music catapults Armchair Generals to new heights. Their following is strong with word-of-mouth marketing and they’ve garnered firm support from local media, businesses, and artist collectives such as Gazette Newspapers, LB Post, 562 City Life, Svastha Health, Everyday Zen Relaxation Studio, LBCreative!, and more. The band has participated in past First Fridays Long Beach events and community endeavors such as the Shakti Shala Yoga Festival and February’s artist response and Haiti benefit, Carnival del Corazon. The Armchair Generals have participated in various student union events at California State University, Long Beach and hold several production credits.
