Join the Lindblad Campaign at Celia Pool's House this Sunday afternoon at 5:00 PM in North Hills to discuss the common ground of Lindblad's Assembly Campaign shared with the urgent need to defeat Proposition 23, funded with millions spent by the Koch brothers and Texas oil companies Valero and Tesoro to upend California’s premier climate change law passed four years ago, Assembly Bill 32.

Proposition 23 is seen as a deceptive ballot initiative, endangering AB32, funded by Texas Oil to continue their profiteering and to stop renewable energy from halting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. “We have to defeat Big Oil to secure our Green Jobs/New Deal steady state economy! Right now, one of the toughest anti-global warming laws in the world, AB 32, passed in 2006, is in danger. We can't afford to let Big Oil get away with it.” explains Mr. Lindblad.

10-10-10 is the date and name of the global event of thousands of local events orgainzed by Bill McKibben's 350.org. http://www.350.org/en/march-against-prop-23-and-texas-oil

350 parts per million is what many scientists, climate experts, and progressive national governments are now saying is the safe upper limit for CO2 in our atmosphere.
Accelerating arctic warming and other early climate impacts have led scientists to conclude that we are already above the safe zone at our current 392 ppm, and that unless we are able to rapidly return to below 350 ppm this century, we risk reaching tipping points and irreversible impacts such as the melting of the Greenland ice sheet and major methane releases from increased permafrost melt. http://www.350.org/en/about/science

“Some scientists assert that we may be currently beyond critical tipping points in a runaway planetary heating - but we must not abandon measures to stop continued emissions. We have nothing to lose and we can’t stop trying,” says Mr. Lindblad, adding: “Direct action like 350.org builds awareness and education to direct our Energy Descent in a Smart Decline to Get Off the Grid and Get Off OIl for relocalizing our water, energy and commerce. This future will be the generator of jobs in our Green Jobs, 100% Renewable energy, Green New Deal Economy!”
