Sept. 29, 2010 - PRLog -- Longtime Bay Area Humorist Nick Hoppe launches his first print publication for purchase on Amazon.com. Kids, Dogs and Other Pests: A Collection of Humor Columns includes Hoppe’s most-admired columns.

The Collection organizes Hoppe’s musings from the last 10 years into categories with an updated narrative to reflect the wisdom that only hindsight affords.  Hoppe’s columns have appeared in the San Francisco Chronicle and the Marin Independent Journal for more than fifteen years. The categories include musings on Pets, Marriage, Getting Old and Technology with Hoppe’s signature wit and self-reflection.

Nick Hoppe hopes the publication will remind all readers that a sense of humor will help them as they confront life’s challenges. .  Hoppe observes, “writing has always been a passion for me. Now that my kids have their own lives, I’m focusing on how I can use my passion for writing to help prepare others for life’s misadventures.”

The book, available on Amazon for $9.95, marks the fulfillment of Hoppe’s longtime goal to become a published author. With the support of his family and his wife’s blessing, Hoppe plans to continue writing and posting to his website, Hoppecolumns.com, as he navigates his first years as an empty-nester.
