Sept. 27, 2010 - PRLog -- Borrowing a number of styling cues from the critically acclaimed, full-size Murano, the latest Rogue’s sleek design generates a great deal of the dramatic sophistication of its older brother, albeit in more compact, more energetic package. For 2011, Nissan tweaked the Rogue’s front fascia, elongating the nose and implanting a larger, more aggressive chrome grille between the available xenon headlamps and foglamps. Also new are the more athletic front and rear spoilers and tire deflectors, noticeably upgraded chrome trim and accents and a quartet of new exterior colors. Kroms get the added muscularity of available 18-inch alloys. Models with 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels sport new, fuel-saving, low-rolling-resistance tires that help the new Rogue achieve up to 28 mpg. http://www.mytexasnissan.com

The 2011 model year sees the return of much of what drivers love about the sophisticated Rogue along with an eye-catching influx of enhanced style and bold attitude. In the new Rogue S, Rogue SV and special edition Rogue S Krom trim levels, Nissan’s newest iteration of the popular crossover also adds a number of previously unavailable features to its already impressive allotment.

Nissan’s impressive and eager 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine returns for the new model year along with its 170 hp and 175 lb/ft of torque. Attached to that engine is the company’s Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT), a smooth-shifting power player that delivers impressive acceleration and high-end speed on command. The Rogue is built on an ultra-stiff platform and features the advanced Vehicle Dynamic Control system and a four-wheel independent suspension. It sports remarkably precise and enjoyable steering, lending a proper dose of adrenaline to a segment in dire need of it. All Rogue trims offer available all-wheel drive and standard four-wheel antilock brakes as well.

For 2011, SV and Krom trims are on the receiving end of a number of modern and appealing cockpit features and feature packages including an available 4.3-inch color control display for the vehicle’s audio system, RearView monitor and optional touch-screen Nissan Navigation System (with real time traffic). Other available features like heated leather seats, Bluetooth phone, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, automatic climate control, a power moonroof and a premium Bose audio system carry over from last year’s model and add exceptional elegance to Nissan’s crossover.

The enhanced sportiness of the Rogue’s exterior carries beautifully into the cockpit, which itself receives something of an upgrade for 2011. In addition to some newly available features (that vary by trim), new Rogues feature a revised center cluster and gauge panel design, and S trims get upgraded upholstery and interior lighting as well. The newest crossover maintains the cavernous spaciousness and impressive versatility that made previous models so appealing.

Beyond advanced steering and braking systems, the 2011 Rogue places an emphasis on safety with active head restraints, three-point safety belts, a tire-pressure monitor and a savvy group of airbags (dual-stage front, side and roof-mounted side curtains). The innovative crumple zones of Nissan’s Zone Body construction absorb the energy of an impact, shielding the passenger compartment.

Fresh, functional and more fashionable than ever, the 2011 Nissan Rogue is a crossover designed for a keen, energetic audience. http://www.mytexasnissan.com
