Inventor Mum in Award Finals

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 9, 2010 - Mother of four Shelly Zimmerman is heading to Brisbane as a finalist for a national business award.
Shelly was nominated for the Product Innovation category in the Connect2mums AusMumpreneur Awards for inventing the MyColourCup®.

She invented the cup nearly 18 months ago to cut down on the amount of dishes in her household.

She said; “This is a family of six, so there are a lot of dishes used. "
"When you don't realize who has which cup, the house can get full of cups very quickly.
"I came up with the ides and I've had it patented and have a registered Trademark on it.”
"I joined up with Connect2mums, which is a network of mothers who have their own businesses.”
"I was nominated for the award, which is really exciting.”
“I have a 9 t0 5 job and have been trying to sell in on my own time. “

The MyColourCup® comes in a set of six and are fitted with a band which can be twisted to show the name of whoever is currently using the cup.  
The cups are personalised and can be put in the dishwasher.
