In his new position, Marini will assist in all banking operations and oversee commercial loans, deposits and commercial relationships.
Marini previously served as assistant vice president of commercial banking at BankSouth in Savannah and joined The Coastal Bank when it acquired BankSouth’s Savannah offices in May 2008. He began his banking career at SunTrust, where he worked as an assistant vice president and branch manager.
“I feel very close to the Pooler community,” said Marini. “It has been a tremendous experience and I am looking forward to better serving our customers in my new position.”
Originally from Melbourne, Fla., Marini earned a bachelor’s degree from Wofford College, where he played varsity tennis. He is a member of Isle of Hope Methodist Church and coaches a state-ranked baseball team. He and his wife currently reside on Wilmington Island with their three sons.
