By: John Fletcher, Laser Ammo Ltd. Great Neck, NY, April 2nd, 2010 – Laser Ammo Ltd. (“Laser Ammo”) announced today that it has released a new type of SureStrike laser training bullet that can change function to become a bore sight, work with third party training simulators, or provide enhanced training capabilities through a "barrel trace" setting. These advances are enabled by the microchip contained in every SureStrike. Laser Ammo has the ability to recode the microchip to create advanced functions. By changing the rear section "end cap" of the SureStrike, users can easily expand the product's capabilities. The bore sight end cap is turned on with one pull of the trigger and off with the next. It allows short range zeroing of a weapon without requiring a visit to a range or the expenditure of ammunition. Laser Ammo can adjust the SureStrike to accommodate training simulators that use infra-red or visible lasers. Customers can request specific beam frequency and laser pulse duration. The SureStrike is particularly suited to simulators relying on vibration based lasers, since firing pin activation of the SureStrike virtually eliminates misfires. Laser Ammo has already customized the SureStrike for use in leading third party simulation systems. The laser beam duration of the SureStrike can be extended to create a "barrel trace" which more clearly shows the nature of errors made by a shooter. Instead of a quick pulse, the SureStrike creates a beam which will move in a certain direction according to the mistake. For example, a beam moving downwards indicates a problem with flinch, while movement to the left shows improper trigger pull. "We have moved the programmable nature of the SureStrike beyond the original laser bullet concept," said Mr. Oren Uhr, founder of Laser Ammo. "With every innovation, we are increasing the training and monetary value of the product. Stay tuned for more." About Laser Ammo Laser Ammo develops small arms simulation and training systems.
