Sept. 3, 2010 - PRLog -- Allstate agency owner Janet Bauter was recently named an Agent Hero by Allstate Insurance Company’s New York Region, and awarded a $500 grant for a local youth program.

Bauter donated the grant to the Kiwanis Club of Corning, to be used to help fund the Kiwanis' 15th annual Leadership Conference, which is organized every November on the first Friday of the month for 60 sophomore students from East and West High Schools. The Leadership Conference brings in local experts in various fields to work with the students to develop leadership skills.

“As an Allstate agent, I believe it is my responsibility to demonstrate the Good Hands Promise in the Corning community every single day,” said Bauter, whose office is located at 12 Garden Street. “It is an honor to be able to donate this grant to the Kiwanis Club and hopefully touch the lives of the youth who are involved.”
