Optimal IdM Announces Support For The New Microsoft .NET Framework 4

The company’s flagship product, the Virtual Identity Server™ (VIS™), now fully supports the new framework. In addition to support for the new framework, VIS is now offered in a native 64-bit compiled version and provides enhanced capabilities.

Optimal IdM products now also feature authentication enhancements including support for UPN (User Principal Name) style login, domain style login, anonymous authentication and enhanced Kerberos protocol translation. John Maring, Managing Partner of Optimal IdM, expands on the enhancements made to the Kerberos integration adding, “At the heart of our enhanced authentication capabilities is our protocol translation feature.  If an LDAP client (or application) does not natively support Kerberos, our Virtual Identity Server can step in to ‘translate’ standard LDAP to LDAP over Kerberos; thereby increasing both the security and speed of the application”.
