Wedding Wednesdays Live - Plan Your Wedding in An Hour

Aug. 23, 2010 - PRLog -- Randallstown, MD - Events of Sophistication, a full service wedding and event planning company based in Randallstown, Maryland along with d. edward & associates of Washington DC and Black Bag Productions of Laurel Maryland, proudly present Wedding Wednesdays Live – Plan Your Wedding in An Hour.  The program has been designed to be a lunchtime planning tool for busy brides (and involved grooms who would like to attend) in the downtown Washington, DC area.  Freeland, who is a certified wedding planner, member of the Association of Bridal Consultants and recently named to the Wedding Industry Survey Network Advisory Board, developed the idea over lunch with longtime friend and collaborator Daryl Tate.  She noted that “according to a recent survey conducted by TheKnot.com, ninety percent of prospective brides spend thirty percent of the work week planning their wedding.  The numerous details a bride must tend to and follow up on along with her other responsibilities such as school, family, etc. often leaves little to no time for planning outside of company time and in doing so, she sacrifices eating lunch.  I thought that if we brought vendors and planners together in one place where a bride can gain valuable information, converse with other brides and enjoy lunch in a convenient setting – all in one hour, it would make her life less stressed during a hectic time.”

Wedding Wednesdays Live – Plan Your Wedding In An Hour, will feature swag bags with items from flyboy naturals (www.flyboynaturals.com), getmarried.com (www.getmarried.com), pic-a-pak (www.pic-a-pak.com), Madelaine Chocolate Company (www.madelainechocolate.com) and more, raffle, a light lunch and vendors from different areas that are normally difficult for a bride to connect with in person during her workday. The premiere event will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at the Hilton Garden Inn located at 815 14th Street, NW, Washington DC.  The cost is $15 per person.  Subsequent events will be scheduled and sponsorship opportunities are available immediately.

Tate, a graduate of the George Washington University Event Management program has been an event planner for several years and has previously collaborated with Freeland and Moss on other weddings and corporate events noted, “Diane came up with the idea during lunch and we immediately began discussing the concept.  She called Kim and the rest is history, when those two get on a roll, I know it’s going to be an exciting ride!”  Moss, also a certified wedding planner and member of the American Academy of Wedding Professionals, hosts an online radio show on Blog Talk Radio with a weekly series entitled Wedding Wednesdays, will host her show live during the event.  Moss said, “What a fantastic opportunity for planners and brides alike, I loved the idea right from the start and to be a part of it is really exciting, it’s innovative and fresh.  Leave it to Diane to come up with a great idea; I can’t wait get started.”
