TradeWallStreet International, Inc., an internationally focused broker serving investor clients in over 50 countries, has opened an office in downtown Washington D.C.
"We are excited about the opportunities in the metro area,” says Chief Operations Officer Robert Shapiro. “Many of our clients visit the District on extended stays, and some have chosen to stay in the area. Opening a branch here became a natural choice.”
TradeWallStreet International specializes in serving local communities around the world. Recently, it has begun expansion in the United States, opening offices in Washington D.C., Brooklyn NY, Charlotte NC, and Westminster, CA. TradeWallStreet plans on adding several additional offices in the D.C. Metro Area, and is currently considering space in Tysons Corner, Bethesda and Annapolis.
The firm has a unique approach towards expansion. Typically, it serves clients in foreign countries who wish to diversify into the US Markets. Once a market is established oversees, it then begins servicing Americans with ties to those communities. For example, the firm has a solid presence in Poland, and has opened offices in the Polish community of Green Point, Brooklyn. Clients in the Brooklyn Branch initially came from word-of-mouth from Polish nationals.
TradeWallStreet's model of expanding abroad and then at home is the reverse of the traditional model. “What really serves us is TradeWallStreet's traditional values. Service, in the bespoke sense, is not a tag line – our advisors are independent thinkers with strong track records and established relationships. So our expansion is really a recognition of client needs, not the other way around.”
TradeWallStreet's first office in the District is located across from the White House, in the old Washington Times building.
