The magnificent Trevarno Estate & Gardens is playing host to a Teddy Bear’s Picnic and Parade on Wednesday 25th August. Guests of all ages are being encouraged to bring their favourite cuddly toy for a fun-packed day of picnicking on the Great Lawn, along with a host of traditional games, storytelling, face-painting and a badge-making workshop. Families can relax in the sun, take a stroll through the expansive historic grounds or enjoy a delicious treat or something more substantial from the Fountain Garden Conservatory Tearoom. The day will then culminate with a Bear Parade around the gardens – a fantastic furry frenzy that is not to be missed!
On Wednesday 1st September, the entertainment continues with a music-themed family fun day which includes a musical instrument making workshop. Younger guests can enjoy learning about how to create home-made sounds and melodies before taking part in a musical congo through the grounds. The final free event in Trevarno’s school holiday programme, this is sure to be both a lively and enthralling day out and the perfect end to a memorable summer season.
“We’ve had an excellent summer so far and the family fun days are always really enjoyable,” says Events Manager Cilla George. “Trevarno is a beautiful and captivating place to visit on any day of week but it’s great when the gardens come alive with the sight and sound of families having fun together. It’s what Trevarno is all about at this time of year and everyone is looking forward to the events.”
