Varsity Girls To Perform National Anthem At Fenway Park

Aug. 12, 2010 - PRLog -- Boston, August 12, 2010- The Varsity Girls are proud to announce that they will be performing the National Anthem at Fenway Park just prior to the start of the Boston Red Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels game on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, the same day the Varsity Girls first single “Be You” will be available on iTunes and other digital media retailers.

Hailing from Boston, Massachusetts, the five girls of The Varsity Girls offer a fusion of differing musical backgrounds and unique vocals, which blend in perfect harmony creating their signature sound--a mix between Pop, Rock and R&B. The members of The Varsity Girls consist of Simone Cardoso (15), Taylor Lawler (15), Jillian Zucco (16), Kimber-lee Jacobsen (17) and Jillian Jensen (17).  

In recent weeks The Varsity Girls have performed at a number of venues to include a performance of the National Anthem at Gillette Stadium and will be featured in a Back to School Tour Sponsored by Walmart during the week of August 21-26, 2010. The Varsity Girls have also been approached by several major record labels and corporations as music industry insiders believe The Varsity Girls have the potential to be the “next big thing.”

Varsity Girls fans have raved about the uniqueness of the group and what makes The Varsity Girls different from other girl groups.  That being they not only do they perform vocally and visually, but they also play musical instruments, which range from acoustic/electric guitars to the piano.  The Varsity Girls are what today’s music industry craves—true musicianship and a unique quality that the industry hasn’t seen in decades.
