"I am a breast cancer survivor and I have alopecia, which means I understand hair loss from both sides. Making a custom hair system for a cancer patient or fellow alopecia sufferer gives me tremendous joy, because I know what a difference a well-made, realistic-looking hair piece can make in these people's lives. I live this truth every day."
In 1999 Nazy experienced hair loss in different areas of her head and was diagnosed with Alopecia. Since then, she had been pursuing a suitable solution to her hair loss problem. In addition to her challenges, in 2007 she was diagnosed with breast cancer and had to endure chemotherapy treatment. Having tried the numerous conventional alternatives, she found, that a custom made human hair wig was the most comfortable, practical and realistic looking alternative to her lost hair. Since then, she has been wearing her own custom made human hair wig (cranial prosthesis) and helps others by creating custom hair systems that nobody but them know, they are wearing one.
When she says, she understands the pain of hair loss, that her clients describe, she is sincere. Nazy explains, "During fittings, clients share with me their anger about their illness and what is happening to them. They express their concerns about losing their hair. This is typical of cancer patients. I listen as they shared their feelings and fears. When I tell clients that hair loss is not the end of the world, and they have options, they can believe me. I truly do understand what they are going through."
If there is anyone who can help cancer patients and those with alopecia get beyond their emotional issues of hair loss, Nazy is that person. Her infectious positive attitude about her conditions and desire to help others with their hair loss issues communicates to her clients giving them a sense of hope, acceptance, and optimistic view on life ahead. Nazy has assisted many patients regain their self-esteem by counseling them and providing them with beautiful hair systems, which in turn allow them to reintegrate into society and expedite their cures.
