Just in time for back-to-school, preschool and elementary teachers nationwide were invited to attend a free online workshop on Tuesday, August 3, at 2 pm eastern time. During the session, editors from two of the premiere educational magazines for teachers, The Mailbox Magazine and Learning Magazine, showcased some of the timesaving products that won the 2010 Teachers’ Choice Awards for the Classroom. The session also featured prizes every 5 minutes; teachers from Maine to Arizona were among the winners!
“The Teachers’ Choice Awards are the premier award in the educational publishing industry,” says Anne Sumpter, publisher of Learning Magazine. “Hundreds of companies enter their products, and panels of teachers from around the country try out each and every product in the classroom. It’s a rigorous evaluation, and only the top products win the Teachers’ Choice Award. When a teacher sees the Teachers’ Choice Awards seal, she knows that that product is classroom-tested and teacher-approved.”
Karen Brudnak, Managing Editor of Learning Magazine, adds, “Teachers spend their funds carefully. Knowing that a product has won a Teachers’ Choice Award really means a lot. Awards like these save teachers time and help them to manage their budgets carefully.”
Registration for the workshop was capped at 500 attendees; the available spots were filled several days before the session. To view a recorded version of the session, visit https://theeducationcenterevents.webex.com.
