Design a day's latest wedding beneath the Temple of Poseidon.

Aug. 4, 2010 - PRLog -- Using the natural surroundings of the Cape Sounio pine forest with luxurious green lawn and the natural flora, coupled with the soft ebbing of the sea which embraces the fairest Cape in all the Mediterranean,  Design a day created for the couple their own personal dream day which now holds fond memories for all. Cape Sounio Resort which sits at the furtherest point of the Athenian Rivera epitomized the flawless natural setting for bride and groom to celebrate their special day with family and friends, in Greece.

The ceremony celebrated in an outdoor chapel, graciously set the tone for the spectacular seaside reception that followed. Lemon and white rose petals lined the chapel isle as the bride approached the alter area in a white Pronovias gown. After the ceremony, photographs on the seaside were the order of the day, while guests enjoyed cocktails on the deck leading to the reception area.

This superb seaside venue eluded an air of understated luxury as guests were greeted to a cocktail on the deck with centerpieces made up of soft yellow flowers, gently held together with fresh rosemary sprigs. On the wooden walkway which stretched across the beach sand to the reception area stood a chavelet.   The canvass held by the chivalet outlined the seating plan clearly marking the table names chosen from world famous monuments, i.e. the temple of Poseidon, The Acropolis, Byblos, and The Eiffel Tower amongst others. Lemons in clear cylindrical vases decked the buffet area.  On arrival to their tables guests were greeted to place cards with their name tags held in place by a stabbed-on lemon.  White roses were the personal choice of the bride and groom for the stylish yet humble centrepieces with a base of lemons and limes and sprigs of olive branches gently surrounding the white roses.  As the sun set over the ancient setting, the moon greeted the guests in waiting. Under a clear Greek night sky, suspended with stars, the distant temple of Poseidon now embraced by the tender moonlight “smiled down in approval” at the wedding setting at the countless lanterns on the sea sand where the dance floor sat patiently waiting for action. At this point the couple made an astounding entrance as guests waved napkins in the air and cheered on the bride and groom sprinting into the venue creating an energy vibe that was to enhance the tone of all the evening.

With the cutting of the cake, the bride impulsively lifted a plate and smashed it to the ground with good wishes from the cheering crowds as they wished them luck in their lives together. A most unique first dance followed depicting the endless love the two exuded for each other as they both kicked off their shoes and the groom ripped off his socks and they both danced in bear feet to the soft rhythm  of “One” by U2.  Amongst smiles and joyful tears both family and friends joined in and the party continued into the next day.
