Celebrity wedding in Greece, by Design a Day for leading actors in “God Loves Caviar”

magical venue and the breathtaking setting. Ecstatic with the outcome of the wedding the bridal couple vows it has stolen a place in their hearts and they will return to Greece over and over again to relive these wonderful memories created, which they will cherish forever.  Friends and family, attending the wedding, thanked the couple for the gift of a “fairytale” wedding, saying that they take away with them this amazing experience, giving them a beautiful story of their own to tell. The wedding ceremony and reception on the Greek island was attended by Film Director Yiannis Smaragdis, Producer Eleni Smaragdis and the Mayor of the island.  

The film includes an international cast of Catherine Deneuve, Sebastian Koch, John Cleese, Evgeny Stychkin, Olga Sutulova and Juan Diego Botto. Based on a true story of a pirate who reaches Russia and with the help of Catharine the Great of Russia becomes the greatest merchandiser of caviar in Europe. Shot in Greece (Pylos, Aegina, Crete and Psara) and Russia (St. Petersburg and Astrakhan), “God Loves Caviar” tells the story of Ioannis Varvakis with a multinational cast spanning 6 different countries (England, France, Russia, Spain, Germany and Greece). Starting with the Toronto International Film Festival, this film will continue to communicate Greek ideals all over the world at a time when holding on to one’s values is the greatest luxury of them all, and is testament to the fact that with God’s help “everything is possible”.
