Atlanta’s Placement Music launches today with an incredible catalog of more than 350 tracks from rock, pop, country and urban artists. Each track was hand-picked to insure only the best and the brightest songs are available. The company is a one-stop shop for 100% pre-cleared music for film, television, advertising, video games and additional media. In the months leading up to today’s official launch, the company has already placed original compositions on the NFL on FOX, NASCAR on FOX and in independent films.

In addition to songs for licensing from emerging and established musical artists, Placement Music has a creative team standing ready to create custom for-license or work-for-hire compositions. The team’s roster of award-winning songwriters, producers, engineers and musicians includes Nick DiDia, Peter Stroud, Russ-T Cobb, Jared Lee Gosselin, Kevin Spencer, Mark Dannells, Chris Rickwood, Derek Murphy, Ritchie Rubini and Tony Reyes. Didia is a GRAMMY-winning producer/engineer/mixer who has worked on some of the biggest rock records of the past decade (collectively selling more than 35 million records). The team includes songwriters and musicians responsible for the songs and sounds on numerous hit albums from artists such as Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Sheryl Crow, Leona Lewis, Macy Gray, Joss Stone, Janet Jackson and Avril Lavigne. The team also includes one of the video gaming industry's most prolific music composers.

Placement Music was founded by Atlanta music industry veterans Tammy Hurt and Elizabeth Elkins. Hurt is President of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (The GRAMMYs), and a Co-President of Georgia Music Partners. Her work in her events management firm Outsource Events landed her in Catalyst Magazine Top 25 Entrepreneurs list. She is also an accomplished drummer who has worked with producer Brenden O’Brien, Van Hunt and Indigo Girls. Elkins serves on the Board of the Atlanta Chapter of the GRAMMYs, is a member of Georgia Music Partners, and is an accomplished songwriter and musician with projects such as The Swear, whose songs have appeared on more than 10 television networks, and in several films.
