At Rest Assured Anesthesiology, we firmly believe that when you have surgery in the office setting, you should have the same standard of care, or better, than a hospital OR where there is always an anesthesiologist immediately available if not doing the case themselves.

Hi, This is Dr. Jonathan McMullen. If you're considering Charlotte Liposuction, keep in mind that Rest Assured is a group of all board certified physicians specializing in office-based anesthesiology, particularly for aesthetic plastic surgery. Unfortunately there's a vast difference in the standard of care among office ORs. We, however, provide a higher level of care than most hospitals in that each patient gets one-on-one care from a physician. In most states it's legal for a nurse anesthetist to provide anesthesia under the supervision of a surgeon ... but this is not the same level of care as a hospital. And, be careful if the office staff tell you you're just having "IV sedation" or "twilight anesthesia": According to the American Society of Anesthesiology, if you sedated to the point that you and unaware of, and unresponsive to the surgery, then this is General Anesthesia, and certainly warrants the presence of an anesthesiologist.
Your safety, and your entire perioperative experience, is our paramount responsibility. So, whether or not you're planning to see one of our recommended surgeons for your Charlotte Liposuction, please take a moment to click on the "PRINTABLE QUESTIONS" on our home page at RestAssuredMD.com. Take this form to each surgeon with whom you consult, and don't settle for excuses ... if they can't give you a definitive "YES" to each of the four questions, then that's a deal breaker!
It's hard to know who's a safe, well credentialled, and talented surgeon ... but we know, because we work with them everyday! And the first step in optimizing you experience, results, and safety, is to ask the right questions. So. print the form, use it, and let us know if we can provide any further insights for you.
Best of luck as you go through your decision process, and I hope you'll entrust Rest Assured Anesthesiology to keep you safe and comfortable.
