July 17, 2010 - PRLog -- St Helens based commercial photographer, Peter Drought is celebrating after recently winning an important contract to supply photography to St Helens Chamber of Commerce for advertising and publicity purposes.

The agreement represents an important step for the business, and came after a detailed tendering process in which applicants were rated on the basis of quality of work, existing client testimonials, value for money and geographical location relative to St Helens. Peter, the proprietor of In Print Imaging, said:

“This contract represents and important step for us in developing the business and establishing our reputation for the supply of high quality imagery to discerning clients. Our objective continues to be to supply high quality photography and excellent client service to the commercial sector.”

In Print Imaging was established just under two years ago by proprietor, Peter Drought. An architectural photographer by trade, Peter diversified the business to include other forms of commercial photography including product and pack shot photography, corporate portraits, event and PR coverage. Asked about the usual uses for the work of a commercial photographer, he replied:

“We supply images for a wide range of purposes from advertising and public relations work for business, to editorial coverage for magazines and newspapers. The service is available seven days a week and often can be arranged at short notice. We use specialist equipment for the highest quality results, and use our experience to make eye catching photography that makes our clients stand out from the crowd.”

Asked about what motivates him, he replied:

“My original calling was as an architectural photographer as I was always interested in buildings as a subject. From there I diversified outward. For me, photography is about shapes, light, colour and just a little bit of mystery. I love the way that objects and spaces can take on a whole different feel simply by changing the lighting, or adjusting the viewpoint, or depth of field. If you were to ask me which photographers interest me intellectually, then I have a long list, but close to the top would be Andreas Gursky, Tim Flach and Philip Jones Griffiths. Their work is provocative, it makes you think.”

The business services clients across the North West and throughout the country as a whole. Peter works both directly with clients, and also works alongside art directors from advertising and PR agencies. A selection of his work can be viewed online at:
