DX Group signs national deal with Big Yellow

June 23, 2010 - PRLog -- DX Business Direct, part of the DX Group, the UK & Ireland’s leading independent mail, courier and secure logistics company, has signed a new deal with Big Yellow, the UK’s best known self storage brand.  The agreement will see DX Business Direct place dedicated ParcelXchange depots on 18 of Big Yellow’s UK flagship forecourts.

Offering 24 hour access, 7 days a week, DX Business Direct ParcelXchanges are a series of intelligent lockers with in-built track and trace functions.  They enable businesses, especially with field based personnel, to dispatch parts nationwide for engineer collection, via a tracked overnight delivery service.  ParcelXchanges can improve business effectiveness by reducing distribution costs, improving stock control and increasing engineer efficiency, while also improving call-out response times. Big Yellow sites provide state-of-the-art security with pin code access.

DX Business Direct now has a network of over 5,000 intelligent lockers nationwide   and this agreement brings the business a step closer towards achieving its ambitious target of providing a ParcelXchange within a fifteen minute drive’s radius of the majority of homes across the country. This latest roll out is expected to be complete by the end of June and the agreement contains a further option to expand the partnership to more Big Yellow sites in the future.
