Midwest Sensation NiQ, To Release High Profile Mixtape 'Bang My Sh*t" To The Hip-Hop World June 30th

June 16, 2010 - PRLog -- June 30th, Columbus rapper NiQ, is set to release his 2nd mixtape, a high profile offering a year in the making. The mixtape is called 'Bang My Sh*t' and on it he commands the artistic firepower of some of the industry's hottest beatmakers and Columbus' best producers to deliver a rebellious sonic journey - one driven by his lyrical mastery and charismatic personality.

Bang My Sh*t is hosted by DJ Benzi, a Michigan based super DJ whose done work for and with some of the biggest names in the industry [Kanye West, Lil Wayne, The Clipse, Mick Boogie, Rick Ross, the list goes on.] He's also broken Mike Posner and Donnis to the public with mixtape hosting and features [One Foot Out the Door, and the Motivation Mixtape Series], gaining them instant popularity in the hip-hop community.

The mixtape is sponsored, as is NiQ, by Dope Couture. Dope Couture is based in Indiana, and has risen to prominence in the short time they have been active. The line has been seen on the likes of Jay-Z, Drake, Lupe Fiasco, Wale, Chip the Rippa, Kidz in the Hall, and several other celebrities.

The tape is a mixture of industry beats and originals. The originals are produced by two producers. VJ OZ, who worked on NiQ’s single, ‘Rocker [Saturday Night]‘, for his upcoming studio album. BBanga, who has produced tracks for Cam’Ron, Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Kim Joyce and more.

The lyrics are aggressive and timely, commenting on the state of rap, the country and NiQ’s sense of destiny in events pushing his talents to the forefront. Filled with his signature punchlines, ad-libs and metaphors, it is a serious attempt to wake the rap community up to the burgeoning giant that is Ohio rap.

 NiQ is performing next Saturday, June 26th at "Comfest "  where he will be performing a live rap show with the Columbus Dance Troop, and Friday July 2nd at "Red, White, and Boom" Columbus' Independence Day fireworks celebration and the largest such celebration in the Midwest. He will be performing on the Nationwide 'Taste of Boom' Stage. NiQ will be the only hip-hop act on both days.
