Community Care College was included in a short documentary produced by Allstate Insurance Co. featuring Andrew Grimes, Claremore, June 9, 2010, at 3:30 p.m.
The Web documentary is meant to follow the lives of young people in America and to gain a true perspective on how they see themselves, their future and how the economy is affecting them. Grimes was chosen after he responded to Allstate’s national casting search.
During the visit to Community Care College, Grimes first reactions of the college and the prospects of a new career were captured. He is interested in the Fitness and Health Training program.
Grimes set up an appointment with Admissions Representative, Merrilou Taylor, to inquire about more information about Community Care College before he knew about the documentary. He attended a tour of the entire college then saw various departments (including Career Services and Financial Aid) that will aid with his academic success.
Grimes also met with Fitness and Health Trainer Department Head, David McCarthy, to take a tour of the facilities and gain details about his program of interest.
The 2-3 minute web documentary is meant to show American young in its truest form. Grimes’ documentary is a part of a series that will feature 4 other young Americans across the nation.
