June 15, 2010 - PRLog -- Plano, TX – No Magic, Inc., the leading global provider of integrated modeling software and services, today announced a new SysML™ online training course designed to teach system engineers and analysts, test engineers or anyone interested in Systems Engineering everything they need to know about SysML and its use within MagicDraw.

SysML is a modeling language commonly used for modeling systems engineering applications. SysML is defined as an extension of UML®, and it supports the specification, analysis, design, verification and validation of systems. Because of its flexibility, SysML is used to model a wide range of systems, including software, hardware, information processes, personnel or facilities. It provides the foundation for modeling system requirements, behavior, structure and parametrics, using graphical representations that can be used to integrate with other engineering models.

“SysML is rapidly gaining popularity among systems engineers because it supports the needs of engineers designing from the broader systems-based perspectives. Our new online SysML course (and on-site course) provides the most comprehensive and convenient forum to learn SysML quickly and easily. Users will be able to begin designing systems using MagicDraw functionality and the MagicDraw SysML plug-in,” said Gary Duncanson, President and CEO of No Magic. “Our online and on-site courses will prepare individuals for the corresponding SysML OMG™ Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP™) certification program exam offered by OMG,” he added.

No Magic’s SysML online training program enables students to learn at their own pace, anywhere around the globe, whenever they wish. The estimated time to complete the class is 24 total hours, yet participants will have online access for 90 days to the extensive learning materials and to complete the course. Course materials include: 14 modules, 16 demos, lab manual with practical exercises and a final exam.

The SysML online course covers the following:
•   Presents a comprehensive overview of the SysML modeling notation
•   Shows students how to create and relate system analysis and design models
•   Details ways to facilitate system development using model analysis and validation features
•   Covers the complete system-modeling lifecycle from requirements to implementation
•   Presents a concise and practical case study

The cost of No Magic’s SysML online training program is $600 per student. It includes 90 day access to the training website, plus all lectures, workshops, and the final exam. For more information, or to register, please visit: www.nomagic.com/training.
