WEST HOLLYWOOD: After a decade of treating the beauties of Beverly Hills, Susan Johns - founder and operator of SKIN SCIENCE, spent the past six years dedicated to her clients working out of her home studio, and has now moved her full-service skin care salon to a quaint studio in West Hollywood. Located directly behind Fusion Hair Salon at 371 N. La Cienega Blvd., SKIN SCIENCE sits on the second floor of a charming two story building complete with hair stylists, chiropractors and massage therapists.

“I wanted a spot where clients could enjoy a more private setting with a calm and relaxing atmosphere,” Johns said. “And of course I wanted to offer them a great discount, especially for those going through rough economic times who can’t necessarily afford these kinds of treatments.”

Since her move from her large salon in Beverly Hills to her home studio, Johns decided to narrow her practice down to state-of-the-art facials and waxing at her home studio, and now to a smaller studio. “I wanted to get back to the basics and focus on the facials I developed when I first opened SKIN SCIENCE. I wanted to create a place where I would be able to take attentive care to my loyal clients, as well as new customers and give them the care that they needed.”

An expert in the field, Johns has an immense amount of experience working all over Southern California within the skin care industry at well established salons such as Beverly Hot Springs and the Medical Skin Care Clinic in Beverly Hills. “I’m very excited about the move,” says Johns. “It’s at a great location, and I feel like it’s going to be a good change.”
