New Findings Finally Released About Dog Separation Anxiety Cures

Dog Separation Anxiety plays a big part in the adoption of any dog. Most new pet owners agree that a whining or crying dog tends to lead to the animal tearing apart a home and possibly jumping on and attacking guests.

May 31, 2010 - PRLog -- With pet adoptions on the rise, most new pet owners are struggling to understand why their newly adopted dogs and puppies are whining the instant they attempt to leave the house. Some studies have shown that this level of separation anxiety is present in all animals, especially dogs.

Since dogs are pack animals and not natural pack leaders, they tend to first seek out the pack leader in their newly adopted families. If this leader is not present they then see any family member as an equal. Studies show that while pack leaders are allowed to leave a pack, the pack members are never to leave the pack leader or the pack.

Stephanie Abel of http://www.dog-separation-anxiety-cure.net says that "In order for a dog to feel comfortable in your home and not whine, cry or destory homes is to show the dog who the pack leader truly is."

Stephanie goes on to say "One way to know if your dog believes it is the pack leader: If your dog is walking ahead of you on its leash, they believe that they are the pack leader... and you are the pack member. But, if a dog is walking beside or behind you then it certainly knows that you are indeed the pack leader. This is a very clear sign of who is in charge."

In order to quite a whining or crying dog, you first must show that you are the pack leader, or, Alpha Dog, in the family. Doing so will allow the dog to understand that it is ok to be left alone and that the pack leader will always return.

In Stephanie's new book, "Curing Dog Separation Anxiety", She goes into detail on how to keep your dog mentally healthy and not destructive. Consider a human toddler needing its parent and will often cry or scream when the parent leaves the room. All people have this trait and usually can comfort themselves. But in a dogs view of the world, this is a most stressful time as they do not have the ability to speak and tell you their feelings so they act out much like a child would.

Some dogs have been known to claw and bite through wallboard and even jump through screen doors and plate glass windows to find their pack member. Sadly Stephanie reports that most of these dogs get hit by vehicles, wind up in the streets or picked up by a local animal shelter.

On an encouraging note, Stephanie has made sure the book is an instant download and available for people 24 hours per day. Dogs don't stop crying and whining just because the owner is home,  they'll often carry on during all hours of the night affecting your sleep and possibly your neighbors sleep as well.

The book is being offered nationwide and the download location is http://www.dog-separation-anxiety-cure.net
