Soul Singer Gina Green & Soul Guitarist John R. Carey Live In Concert At The Claremont Forum

May 27, 2010 - PRLog -- PR Log (Press Release) – May 27, 2010 – Gico Music is proud to announce their event, “The Acoustic Soul Sessions Series” A Live open talent showcase which will be hosted by Neo Soul Recording Artist Gina Green, and Urban Guitarist John R. Carey Premiering Sunday July 18, 2010 This concert will be the first showcase of a series of performances that will feature some of the nation’s most talented & gifted singers, lyrical/modern dancers, actors, spoken word artist and musicians.

John R. Carey & Gina Green will host “The Acoustic Soul Sessions”. Some may know this duo from there serenades in music Gina Green and John Carey are not only independent recording artists, but gifted play and song writers, producers and arrangers.

Gina Green who had her first debut CD“In His Time” in 1996 shot up the European charts and topped out at #2 in the summer. Sales exceeded 10,000 units worldwide. Later she went on to record two more independently released neo gospel albums “Changes” and “Tell Um” which were also a success.  She is also expected to release her new album “Do You,” which speaks for itself in the title, as her life has always served as a metaphor and shadows into whatever art that she creates.  (See http://www.ginagreen.fourfour.com for full bio info)

John Carey who some have often compared to the likes, and style of late Jimi Hendrix (playing the guitar behind his back & with his mouth), will also be head-lining this event.  He’s opened for Kenny G, Brian Culbertson, Ledisi, Boney James, Queen Latifa, Warren Hill, George Benson, The Chilites and many others. And will be gracing the audience with his smooth guitar theatrics, acting chops, rhythmic dance moves and mellow vocals.
