Mayor salutes local war veterans in honor of Memorial Day.

Members of the local Veterans of Foreign Wars, Vietnam Veterans of America and other local organizations

What:              The village of Islandia will host a Memorial Day ceremony at its newly constructed memorial at the Veterans Memorial Triangle at the intersection of Old Nichols Road and Johnson Avenue.  There will be an invocation and then the ceremonial placing of the wreaths.

Where:            Islandia Veterans Memorial Triangle

                       Old Nichols Road and Johnson Avenue, Islandia

When:             Saturday, May 29

                       10 a.m.

Directions:     LIE to Exit 58 South (Old Nichols Road). Go down Old Nichols Road for approximately 0.6 mile. Triangle is on the left.
