LBI was extremely proud to claim a top spot among the honored beaches at the Eight Annual State of the Shore Media Event held in Sandy Hook on May 27. On hand to accept the award was Lori Pepenella, Destination Marketing Director and Rick Reynolds, Executive Director of the Southern Ocean County Chamber of Commerce.
Long Beach Island, is a barrier island that can be accessed by Exit 63 on the Garden State Parkway and is home to several oceanfront municipalities including Barnegat Light, who was just recently nominated as one of Arthur Frommer's Coolest Small Towns in America. Several upcoming events are June 4-6 Lighthouse International Film Festival, June 12-13 the Jersey Shore Fine Art Festival and LBIfest.
