Metro Comedy Connection Brings Comedian Gary Owen to Washington DC

May 19, 2010 - PRLog -- Washington, DC -- The local comedy scene has gotten a lot funnier since Metro Comedy Connection hit the ground. Launched in 2009 by comedian Ed Blaze, Metro Comedy has been bringing people together and making them laugh by featuring local, up-and-coming comics at several Washington DC area venues each and every month. It provides the region's up and coming comics with a venue to showcase their skills while also featuring national comedians for a full line-up of laughs.

Metro Comedy is pleased to announce their third show which will feature national comic Gary Owen, and a hilarious line-up of Metro Comedy talent. The show follows two highly successful events featuring comedians Talent, Shang Forbes, and Nema Williams.

On June 3, 2010 Metro Comedy presents Gary Owen, the side-splitting comedian who has been entertaining America for more than a decade. He has been making people laugh on Comedy Central, HBO, BET Comic View and Def Comedy Jam to name a few. In addition to appearances in a variety of movies, he is a regular cast member of Tyler Perry's sitcom, House of Payne. Owen will be joined by a full line up of outstanding comics who are ready to bring on the laughs.

Metro Comedy features the some of the nation's funniest up-and-coming comics with unique and interactive shows held monthly at Mr. Smith's in Georgetown and Station 9 on U Street.
