What is the popular new mantra we keep hearing Baby Boomers repeating? "I don't wanna get old; I don't wanna get sick; I don't wanna get stupid." Of course a moment or two of thought about the matter would reveal: They're already older, some are already sick, and more than a few boomers weren't that bright to begin with. The big question is not "How can I avoid this?" but, "How do I deal with the reality? The Second Half Christians internet talk radio show talks about the issues facing the Baby Boomer generation from a Christian perspective. The show is heard every Sunday evening at 7:00 PM (MOUNTAIN) on http://www.blogtalkradio.com/
Greg and Margaret Fisher started the innovative Christian ministry in September 2009. "We wanted to let Baby Boomers know there is still a second half of life to be lived" says Margaret Fisher. She goes on to say that many boomers want to play it safe and coast into senior-hood. Not a good plan. According to the Fishers the Baby Boomer generation still has a lot to offer. Greg Fisher, the ministry founder, points out that is why issues of importance to boomers are discussed on the weekly program.
In addition to the BlogTalkRadio program, Second Half Christians also offers a social networking site for Baby Boomers at http://secondhalfchristians.ning.com.
