Through Poetry and Prose, Author Gives Voice to the Unborn Child and Little Children

“An amazing take that gives a glimpse of the connection felt by the child towards its mother. The words captivate you, and bring to life the question we have all asked ourselves; “what goes on in the mind of a child?”"

April 30, 2010 - PRLog -- SAN DIEGO, CA – Right now, Dahveed has once again released his soul to the power of the pen as he provides his readers with “An amazing take that gives a glimpse of the connection felt by the child towards its mother.  The words captivate you, and bring to life the question we have all asked ourselves; “what goes on in the mind of a child?”  Fortunately, the mother-child connection exists without words; but in this case, Dahveed presents the possibility for more.”   – Heather Mann, Ph.D.

His book of poetry and prose, Before I Was Born: I Saw The World Through Your Eyes (now available through Lulu and Amazon.com), allows readers to see the world through the eyes of children.

“CHILDREN . . . FAMILY . . . LOVE
These words come to life in the following pages.  Dahveed offers us the opportunity to experience his unique insight.  The poems allow you to see, feel and hear from the perspective of a tiny being. The words are very moving and will bring great joy to others; whether you are a parent or not.  For us, the poetry magnifies the miracle that is life.
Sit back, relax and . . . LOVE.” - Collyn y Pablo Montiel

In Before I Was Born . . ., the unborn child tells the reader that they see the world through their eyes, they hear the world through their ears, they taste the food that they eat, and even though they sometime cried, they also smiled.  The poem, Mommy, It’s Time To Move, the unborn child tells its mother that their house (mommy’s belly) has gotten too small and that it is time to move (time to be born). The Poem Unity is meant to hold a family close.

Cry, laughter, an illustrious smile; precious, adorable, peaceful as the Nile. Father, mother, child as one; today, tomorrow, the setting of the sun. In their hands your life they hold; cherish each moment as your future unfolds.

As a photographer, Dahveed presents the reader with amazing photos that captures the essence of his poetry. He currently resides in San Diego where he is writing his next book.
