When I had to prepare for my best man speech I searched the internet for samples of humorous best man wedding speech examples. I did manage to find a couple of sites but the problem I found was that most of the free content was quite similar, with typical cliches and stale jokes. I was worried about my best man toast sounding too 'canned'.

The whole thing took me short of an hour to prepare! I'm sure you can appreciate how much pressure that took off of me immediately.

After the big day I got a lot of compliments about how professional the speech sounded. My folks were very surprised as they know how nervous I can be speaking in front of large groups. Actually, the whole day had been quite stressful for everyone up until then (lot's of drama with the father in law and groom!) and I did feel that my speech helped to relax the mood and kind of change the pace.

I think the secret was having a good structure to begin with and then weaving in genuine  shared experiences. That way you can still have most of the 'work' already done for you but sound funny and believable by adding real life situations.
