BlueChip Energy to Provide Solar Energy System for Ace Hardware of Orange City

April 26, 2010 - PRLog -- BlueChip Energy™, a provider of complete solar energy solutions for residential, commercial, and utility applications, announced today it will be providing Ace Hardware of Orange City, Florida with a 10 kW solar generator.

The system is ideally suited for light commercial use and is expected to dramatically offset the electric bills of Ace Hardware each month.  BlueChip recommended the Fusion 10kW solar generator specifically for a small business application like Ace Hardware as it will replace a significant amount of energy that would normally be purchased from a conventional utility company. The system produces 100% green energy and does not create any carbon emissions.

Ace Hardware of Orange City was founded in 1987 and has since been a family owned business.  It is located in a 6000 sq ft. building on N. Volusia Avenue.  Homeowners visiting the store will be able to see a display with a monitor showing how much solar energy is actually being generated in real time.  “We decided to go solar mostly because of the return on investment. We selected BlueChip because they are local and we were able to come down and meet them at their solar manufacturing plant” said Richard Anderson, owner of Ace Hardware of Orange City.  

The Fusion 10kW Solar Generator System will consist of 230 Watt, monocrystalline solar modules, a 10,000 Watt Kaco inverter, and a UniRacTM mounting system.   BlueChip Energy will provide the design, engineering, and installation. Monocrystalline solar modules are the most efficient available, minimizing the footprint of the system. The solar modules carry a 25 year limited power warranty guaranteeing energy production for 25 years.

“Ace Hardware now has a system to help reduce long term energy costs. Should utility company electricity rates increase, the dollar value of the energy produced by the system will increase proportionately” said Tom Cernera, Vice President of Sales for BlueChip Energy.   With Federal Tax Credits and the State of Florida Solar Energy Rebate, the cost of the Fusion 25kW system has been dramatically reduced for small businesses like Ace Hardware. The Florida state rebate expires on June 30th, 2010.
