April 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Legendary actor John Jarratt, who will forever more be known as the evil Mick Taylor from box office hit Wolf Creek, is so passionate about his latest film, Savages Crossing, that he’ll be appearing at all premieres in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.

The first feature film to be written by John Jarratt and his wife Cody Jarrett under production company Winnah Films, Savages Crossing sees a group of strangers forced to take shelter in an outback roadhouse while a flood rages around them, but the danger lurking within the four walls is far greater than the threat from Mother Nature.

“My character, Phil is not an evil man, he’s just a d*** head who thinks he’s been given a rough trot,” John Jarratt said.

Savages Crossing, which will be released next month through Reading and Palace Cinemas, comes prior to the completion of John Jarratt’s other film, Cyber Sin, where he diversifies and portrays the father of a victim of cyber bullying.

“I think there is nothing worse,” he said.

Cyber Sin also stars wife, Cody Jarrett and will feature music from popular artist Kate Miller-Heidke.  The story follows a group of girls cyber bullying the ‘Queen Bee’s’ cousin.  Word quickly spreads like wildfire via digital resources and the parents of the victim reveal the heartache of losing their daughter to suicide.

“It (suicide) is such a waste of a good life at a time that had they seen it through would have thought, ‘why did I think this was the answer?’” said John.

John Jarratt is set to embark on a national tour next month cross promoting both Savages Crossing and Cyber Sin films.

“I want people to think that I gave true and honest performances and made movies that people wanted to go and see,” he said.

Sydney 13th May 2010 – Palace Chauvel Cinema, Paddington NSW
