April 21, 2010 - PRLog -- Members of the Corps of Cadets (JROTC) at TMI – The Episcopal School of Texas  helped out recently at Heartland Children’s Home in Boerne. Cadets helped take care of the lawns and played with young residents of the home for medically fragile children.

“It’s an annual requirement that Army JROTC units conduct a community-service project and incorporate the experience into classroom discussion and reflection,” said TMI Commandant Maj. Douglas McVey.

Cadets volunteered on a Saturday at the children’s home. “Everyone was very appreciative,” said Cadet Capt. Alexandra Romigh, a senior at TMI. “We got an idea of what (the residents’) needs are and enjoyed spending time with them.”
