100 Million Students Puts CEV on the Map

April 21, 2010 - PRLog -- LUBBOCK, Texas – CEV Multimedia celebrated its 100 millionth student viewership and 25 years of providing educational multimedia materials to students and educators worldwide Friday, April 16.

Students at Roanoke City Schools in Roanoke, VA, became part of CEV’s 100 millionth viewership when the school purchased CEV’s Business Computer Technologies Pathway. The Microsoft® applications class which received the Pathway, taught by Joy Hairston, sent a congratulatory video to help celebrate CEV’s milestones.

Founder and chairman of CEV Multimedia, Gordon W. Davis, expressed gratitude toward the high school and said he appreciated those who have been a part of CEV’s success over the past 25 years.

“From one to 100 million students reached in 25 years is humbling indeed,” Davis said.

The celebration continued with video appearances from Bob Craig who serves on the State Board of Education and Congressman Randy Neugebauer. Also present were Lubbock Mayor Tom Martin and Kenny McKay, vice president of business retention at the Lubbock Economic Development Alliance.

CEV also unveiled a new and improved Digital and Visual Education data center, known as DAVE, on Friday. DAVE houses CEV’s infrastructure and is designed to store all digital assets. DAVE will ultimately play a key role in delivering content/curricula to customers around the world.
