World Certification Institute Appoints 3 Eminent Individuals to the Council

April 7, 2010 - PRLog -- Washington - World Certification Institute appointed three eminent individuals to the Council: Professor Angela Delves is a renowned expert on genetics and molecular biology; and Professor Jose Albors-Garrigos is a leading expert on transnational technology transfer networks; as well as Mr Louis W. Brun who is an experienced practitioner with expertise on new product marketing.

Professor Angela Delves is currently the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President of CQUniversity and concurrently the President of its Academic Board. She has an illustrious career spanning 4 decades, both as an academia and a senior research scientist in UK and Australia.

She was the former Pro Vice-Chancellor of Southern Cross University, responsible for the strategic development of quality, enterprise and international collaborations of the university. She was also the former Academic Registrar at Australian National University.

Angela Delves has extensive experience in the academic and administrative areas of a university, with particular expertise in the areas of regional multi-campus university operations, community engagement, international operations and organizational change management. She is a renowned expert in Genetics and Molecular Biology and her research interests focus on aspects of genetics and crop improvement. She has written numerous articles in this specialized area and has been a frequent speaker at international conferences in the United States, Asia, Australia and Europe, specifically in Vienna, Netherlands and Sweden.

Professor Jose Albors-Garrigos is currently Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Innovation Management at the Universidad Politecnica de Valencia in Spain. He has 25 years of engineering experience in several multinational companies, and has worked as an innovation management consultant with national and international organizations such as the Ministry of Industry in Spain, Ministry of Science in Greece, the European Commission in Brussels and UNIDO in Vienna.

Jose Albors-Garrigos is a leading expert on transnational technology transfer networks for growing enterprises. His research spans a wide range of topics, including technology transfer networks, continuous improvement and innovation, knowledge management, value chains, clusters and public policies.

He has written numerous articles relating to these topics in publications such as the International Journal of Technology Management, Journal of Economic Geography, Journal of Information Management, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development, European Planning Studies, and Research Technology Management. He holds a PhD in Industrial Engineering and a Master degree in Business Management, both from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid.

Mr Louis W. Brun has extensive years of marketing experience in the healthcare and pharmaceutical industry and he currently spearheads the development of the healthcare sector across Canada for the Australian Consulate & Trade Commission. He is multi-lingual, and is conversant in French, English, Spanish and German. These language abilities enable him to hone a variety of skills in transnational negotiation and knowledge of regulatory processes.

His experiences in several multinational companies have also enabled him to develop strategic partnerships with companies in Europe, America and the Asia-Pacific region. His marketing expertise is in the area of new product initiation and he has helped companies to introduce new products through federal procurement programs, coordinated regulatory approvals for medical & dental products, as well as address regulatory and packaging standards of their products for commercialization in Canada.

Louis Brun holds an MBA in Marketing from Sherbrooke University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science with a minor in Economics from Concordia University.

The Council comprises people of stature and international reputation, and represents a cross-section of outstanding leaders, thinkers and professionals in the range of fields involved, representing many parts of the world, disciplines and areas of expertise. Current council members include Professor Philip Poh, the Chair of World Certification Board as well as Dr R.H.K. Sloan, the current President of the Council.
