Coester Appraisal Group names Bud Ryan Director of Sales

March 30, 2010 - PRLog -- Gaithersburg, MD -- Bud Ryan began his career in the mortgage industry 18 years ago at PHH Mortgage (aka Cendant Mortgage) in vendor relations and brings a wealth of knowledge to Coester. Bud oversaw the  appraisal management needs of the east coast for several years at PHH. He then moved to underwriting and processing leading projects such as automated underwriting and mortgage loan capacity while gaining underwriting and closing expertise.

Bud then went to Secondary Marketing in the mid nineties where he managed assets on the company’s balance sheet.  He quickly earned a trading position handling the hybrid arm position while consistently increasing his teams’ responsibilities.   Soon after, Bud was assigned to the trading and hedging division where he was involved in executing all the daily trades for PHH.  In addition, his teams were responsible for running all due diligence and deal management functions within the company.

By 2004, he was responsible for the structured finance desk which securitized $13 billion of assets and running the day to day operations of several functions within capital markets such as: PHH’s pubic shelf, product and pricing exception desk, daily pricing, mark to market, and trading all Prime and Alt-A fixed rate products.

In 2008, Bud joined Jaymes Financial Incorporated. He marketed residential, commercial, consumer, and distressed assets to numerous banks, investment banks, REITs, and insurance companies.  Bud created markets for buyers and sellers in an extremely difficult environment.

Bud has extensive knowledge of the lending industry.   He has collaborated with regulators, accountants, rating agencies, appraisers, government sponsored entities, due diligence firms, and numerous investors during his career.  He is a graduate of PHH’s six sigma black belt program.
